Hello!
This week I wanted to share my review and experience shopping on SheIn. If you’ve never heard of SheIn, it is a website that sells clothing and accessories at very affordable prices. The prices are so low because the clothes come directly from China. I know a lot of other bloggers who have shopped the site, and their prices are very budget friendly, so I thought I would give it a try. I looked at the size charts and read reviews, which is why I ending up getting my normal size. I have heard it is better to size up one from your normal size, and maybe I should have followed that.
What did I get?
I ordered four tops, a dress, and three necklaces. My total was only $64.19, shipping is free over $50. They also usually have a coupon going on, or you get a coupon you can use on you first order when you sign up for their emails. For everything I purchased, I didn’t think my total was bad. There were definitely some hits and misses. I don’t know if my expectations were too high, but I was not very impressed with the quality of the items. I only ended up keeping one clothing item, but I tried everything on for you, and I will tell you the reasons I sent the items back. The good news is they have free returns!

Clothing
The first item is this single breasted knot side dress. On the website, this looks like more of a mustard/gold color. In person it looks more like the macaroni and cheese crayon. The fabric also felt scratchy and cheap, not to mention you can see right through it. I also felt like it was not flattering, so back it goes. I paid $17 for this dress. You can view the dress here.
Next is this black V Placket Shell Top. This is actually a really nice tank, I liked the material and felt like it would make a great wardrobe staple. Unfortunately I should have went up one size for this one. It was too tight in the chest and arm area. Nothing was wrong with it except that it was the wrong size. I paid $9 for this tank. View the tank here.
Next is this red bell sleeve top. I actually like the material and thickness of this top. It did feel a little small, but the main reason I am sending it back is that it isn’t my style. It was a little bit more of a dramatic sleeve than what I would normally go for, but it was pretty good quality. I paid $11 for this top. View the top here.
The last thing I’m sending back is this rolled sleeve blouse. The fabric is okay on this, on the website it looks a lot more green. In person, I feel it leans a little more brown. It also fit weird over the chest, I felt like it was a little too small and didn’t move well. Ultimately, I felt like I could find something similar that fit better, elsewhere. I paid $15 for this top, view it here.
The last top I bought, I thought for sure I was not going to like it when I pulled it out of the bag. This one was called the Single Breasted Self Tie Waist Blouse. I was afraid the buttons looked a little cheap. To my surprise, I tried it on and actually really liked it! I like the diagonal buttons, and the fabric is thick. The sleeves are super cute, too. Of course the one thing I really like is sold out now. I paid $11.90 for this top.
Jewelry
I felt a little different about the necklaces I purchased. All of the jewelry on SheIn is extremely cheap. The necklaces were all under $2 that I purchased. For the price, I was really happy with them! Are they the best quality? No. Will they last forever? No. They are however, extremely cute and trendy! The price and quality remind me of jewelry you would buy at Forever 21.
This triangle chain necklace is a super cute, lightweight, dainty necklace! I will say since it is so lightweight, unfortunately the triangles flip up when you’re wearing it. It is currently $2, see it here.
This double layer coin necklace was also a winner! The second coin does fall a little low, so keep that in mind. I also feel like the gold may start to chip off, but for $2 I think it’s worth it. View the necklace here.
Lastly, this paper plane chain necklace. This is actually really nice quality for the price, not to mention adorable! This one sits a little lower than a normal pendant, too. This necklace is also $2, view it here.
Final Thoughts
So here are my pros and cons for shopping on SheIn:
Pros
- Affordable prices
- Surprisingly fast shipping (I placed my order of 08/29, it was delivered on 09/04)
- Free returns within 40 days
- Jewelry is extremely affordable
- Large variety of products
Cons
- Pictures of products can be misleading
- Sizing varies, hard to tell when to size up
- Fabric varies, some is better quality than others
- Clothing is not the best quality overall, doesn’t fit well
So, who do I think would benefit from shopping SheIn? I think this company would work well for someone on an extreme budget. Also, if you are someone who likes fast fashion and are only planning to wear the items for one or two seasons, you will probably enjoy the products. I did end up really liking a few of the clothing items, I am not knocking this brand completely. I also really liked the jewelry I received, and would shop them again just based on that. Overall, at the price point their products are at, the relatively quick shipping, and the fact that sizing was my only complaint on a few items, I would give them another try.
