Hello!
This week I wanted to share a review on the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte liquid foundation. You will love this foundation if you have oily or combination skin! The claims for this foundation are that it has a demi-matte finish, it lasts up to 24-hours, heat and sweat resistant, and it has medium coverage. I would definitely agree with all of these claims. The demi-matte finish means that it not completely matte or dry looking. It does last all day for me, getting slightly oily towards the end of the day.
I like to apply this with my Sonia Kashuk sponge, using my Laura Geller Hydrating Spackle primer underneath. I have been mixing the two lightest shades, 101 and 102, to get my perfect shade. Below I will show you what it looks light during the different stages of application.
Above you can see a side by side comparison of how my skin looks with and without the foundation. The coverage is not heavy, and looks natural! It does a great job evening out my skin tone, and doesn’t look too flat.
I do suggest setting this foundation with a powder, at least where you plan to apply powder products on top. I set my whole face, and my powder products blended on top of the foundation really well. I finished applying the foundation at 12:47 pm, and wore it until 7:30 pm. Below you can see how it looked at 7:30 pm, about 6 1/2 hours of wear. Keep in mind I didn’t do any touch ups with powder.
My skin did become slightly oily, but for the most part my makeup stayed in place. This foundation can easily be refreshed with a little bit of powder! The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation comes in 22 shades on the L’Oreal Paris website.
So, to sum up this review, I think it would be easiest to create a pros and cons list.
Pros:
- It has a beautiful demi-matte finish, that doesn’t make your skin look flat.
- The coverage is medium, ensuring it doesn’t look too heavy.
- It feels really lightweight on the skin.
- The price is very budget friendly, you can get this from anywhere between $8-$13.
- The packaging is a rubber squeeze tube, making it easy for travel.
- It lasts all day.
Cons:
- Not the best for dry skin, can look drying up close.
- Have to use a decent amount of product with each application.
- The shade range could be better, not a huge selection available in stores.
This foundation is a great budget friendly option if you are looking for a medium coverage foundation that looks gorgeous on the skin, and won’t fade or transfer. I recommend this foundation to those with oily or combination skin. If you have dry skin, the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation would be a better match for you! Mixing these two would make for a beautiful foundation, too.
