Hello! This week I wanted to share my review and swatches of the Huda Beauty New Nude eye shadow palette! This palette is sold at Sephora and on Huda Beauty’s website. It is definitely a splurge coming in at $65. There are 18 shades in this palette, 10 mattes, four reflective shades, two glitters, and one concealer base. The New Nude palette is full of pink, purple, and brown toned shades.
My Review
To keep it simple, I love this palette! The matte shades are very easy to blend, and you can do a complete look using them. A few of the mattes require some building, but they build really well. The reflective shades are best applied with your finger, as you will see from the swatches. These shades are nice, because you can place them all over the lid for an easy look. I have personally not used the glitter shades on my eyes. Swatching them proved to be difficult, I definitely recommend using a glitter glue with these shades. The best way to apply the glitters may be with your fingers, as well. This palette is perfect for everyday looks, as well as more dramatic looks. The packaging is nice and sleek, and it includes a big mirror.
Swatches
The swatches below were done with the furthest shade on the left, being swatched closest to my wrist. The top swatch is a finger swatch, and the bottom swatch is with a brush for each shade. So, on my arm you see the shades from right to left as they are in the palette.
This is my first purchase from the Huda Beauty line, and I have definitely been using this palette non-stop. Below I have created an easy matte look using four of the shades. All of these shades complement each other so well, and you can create so many unique eye looks with this palette!
Start by applying your favorite eye shadow primer, and then set down a base on your entire lid with the shade Bare labeled “1” in the picture above. Next dust the shade Play, labeled “2” above, onto the space above your lid, but leave a little bit of room right below your eyebrow. This is called your transition shade. Next, using a small crease brush, apply the pretty pink shade Secret labeled “3”, into your crease and on the outer corner of your lid. Finish off your lid by applying more of the shade Bare to the rest of your lid. For your lower lash line apply the shade Play (2) with a fat dense paddle brush. Use the same brush to apply the shade Secret (3) on top of that. To finish, take a small pencil brush and apply the shade Raw, labeled “4”, to the outer 2/3 of your lower lash line. I love this for a quick daytime look!
Overall, I think this palette is definitely worth the money. I recommend this to anyone who really likes pink tones! To save some money, you could wait for a sale at Sephora!
